Welcome to Dreamtime Travellers Rest. This small and secure hostel features Cairns most relaxed, unique and homely atmosphere!

Your accommodation a bright Queenslander style home set within a lush tropical oasis featuring comfortable hammocks in the trees and outdoor BBQ area. Your Double, Twin or Dorm share rooms will have fresh clean linen, duvets and towels. Relax by our sparkling pool, chill out, listen to music or join one of our weekly barbeques. We have a well-equipped kitchen and laundry for all your holiday needs. All of this is just a 5 minute walk to the city of Cairns, Night markets and world famous swimming lagoon.

Dreamtime has been family owned and operated since 1990. We pride ourselves on our local knowledge. Dreamtime Travel is our in house Tour desk and Online Tour shop. Let our dynamic staff share their local knowledge of the Great Barrier Reef and Rainforest adventures with you. Please ask about our monthly tour specials that will save you time and money!

Cafe Melt offers a wide range of tastes from all over the world, the feature meals rotate nightly. We are happy to offer you a 10 dollar meal deal with free high speed internet each night you stay. We are open from 7.30am for breakfast which is handy if your arriving early.

Reception closes at 8pm so if arriving late please ensure you have our simple self check in details. These will be sent to you in your personal confirmation email, otherwise please contact us for details.

We can offer a free pick up from the airport until 8pm on stays of 2 nights or more. If here for one night there is a shuttle bus which meets all flights and will drop at our front door, its very simple and you get a city tour on the way.
